In Milan: Old acquaintance gets ICE opportunity
HC Milano has announced its next signing: Lukas Chiodo will get his first chance in the ICE Hockey League.

Chiodo was born on October 31, 1998, in Churchill. The 175 cm tall and 77 kg left-handed shooter is a versatile offensive player who can play both on the wing and at center. Chiodo received his hockey training in his hometown with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
In 2019, the Italian-Canadian moved to Europe and joined Fassa in the Alps Hockey League. There, he immediately made a name for himself with 54 points in 42 games. During the pandemic, he interrupted his professional career and returned to Canada to play for the University of Guelph in the university league U Sports.
Sterzing, Merano and Asiago
In December 2021, he returned to Italy and initially played for the Wipptal Broncos before continuing his career with HC Meran, fulfilling the requirements for Italian federation status. He then took the step to the British Elite Ice Hockey League, where he played for the traditional Scottish franchise Fife Flyers from Kirkcaldy.In the summer of 2025, Chiodo returned to his family's homeland. With Asiago, he played the best season of his career to date, recording 75 points (29 goals and 46 assists) in 52 games across the AlpsHL and IHL Serie A. The highlight was winning the Italian championship at the Arena Santa Giulia in Milan, where Asiago defeated Ritten in the final. Now, at the age of 27, Chiodo is playing in the ICE Hockey League for the first time.
