After a brutal check: This is how Daniel Frank feels

The entire ice hockey scene was worried about Daniel Frank on Thursday in the third game of the playoff series between HCB Südtirol Alperia and Villacher SV. The Foxes captain remained unconscious after a check and had to be taken to hospital.

After the news on Thursday evening was already promising, an announcement from the club followed on Friday morning that made everyone breathe a sigh of relief. Daniel Frank is doing well under the circumstances. “Daniel Frank spent the night under observation in the hospital in Bolzano, where he underwent various examinations, which fortunately turned out well and better than expected,” the Foxes wrote in a statement.

The culprit, Villach's Maxim Golod, only received a small penalty for the action. The club did not initially provide any information regarding the length of the absence: “On Friday, the captain’s recovery time will be determined by the HCB medical team under the direction of Dr. Manfred Brandstätter and Dr. “Christian Thuile judges.” However, an appearance on Saturday in the fourth game of the series seems to be out of the question.
