After one month: ICE coach resigns

The Pioneers Vorarlberg will have to do without their head coach Janne Grönvall at short notice, who was only hired at the beginning of July and was supposed to start his engagement in the ICE Hockey League on Monday.

The 52-year-old Finn cancelled for personal reasons. "I am very sorry that I cannot come. It would have been a great opportunity for me," Grönvall stated.

"Sometimes there are things that are more important than sports. Unfortunately, our designated head coach will not be able to take up his position with the Pioneers Vorarlberg due to personal reasons. We fully respect his decision and wish him all the best. For us, it's now a matter of standing together, looking ahead, and finding the best possible solution," the Pioneers announced.
