After collapsing in the locker room: Season over for Peter Hochkofler

Peter Hochkofler from South Tyrol, who has lived and played in Salzburg for more than 15 years, has to end his season in the ICE Hockey League for health reasons.

Red Bull Salzburg and Peter Hochkofler were both deeply shocked. Last Friday, the striker from Eppan, who has played for the Bulls for ages and now holds Austrian citizenship, collapsed in the locker room before the match against Villach. The 31-year-old had to be taken to the hospital due to a severe migraine attack.

Following thorough investigations, Salzburg has now given a bitter update: "Peter Hochkofler will not be used again this season due to health reasons," the Bulls wrote on their website.

"There was no alternative to the decision." Helmut Schlögl, Managing Director Pro

“It’s a difficult situation for all of us, but ultimately there was no alternative. We will give Peter our full support on his road back and wish him all the best,” said Helmut Schlögl, the managing director of the Bulls. Krone The club stated that it was not a life-threatening illness.

For Hochkofler, this marks the end of a season plagued by bad luck. Due to two injuries, he has only managed to play eight games so far. Now, his season has come to an early end for health reasons.
