The dates for the four season derbies between Pustertal and Bozen have been set.

After a brief confusion: This is the new ICE schedule

On Thursday, the ICE Hockey League announced its schedule for the new season. However, this initially caused confusion in Bolzano and Bruneck.

The new ice hockey season is getting closer by the day. The players and fans of HCB Südtirol Alperia and HC Falkensteiner Pustertal are also eagerly awaiting September 12, the first matchday of the ICE Hockey League. On Thursday afternoon, the league announced the schedule – and initially caused some confusion.

According to the initial match schedule, both Pustertal and Bolzano were scheduled to play during the Olympic Games. On Sunday, February 15, 2026, the Wolves were supposed to play against Klagenfurt, and the Foxes against Innsbruck. However, the Olympic Games were still underway in Milan at that time. Italy will play its final group match against Finland on Saturday, February 14, and after that, has at least one more match to play (either the quarterfinals or quarterfinal qualifiers).

Bolzano and Bruneck were therefore quite surprised when this became public on Thursday. The league was immediately informed of the mishap and promptly rectified it. The games in question have now been brought forward to mid-January.

The derbies are set

The four South Tyrolean derbies between Pustertal and Bolzano are fixed: They will take place on Friday, October 10 (in Bruneck), Friday, October 31 (in Bolzano), Saturday, January 3 (in Bruneck) and Sunday, February 1 (in Bolzano).
