TV novelty in the ICE: South Tyrol’s ice hockey fans are delighted

The new season in the ICE Hockey League is getting closer and closer. The league has now announced who has been awarded the TV rights for the coming season. From a South Tyrolean perspective, this is good news.

The ICE Hockey League has awarded the TV rights for the 2024/25 season to ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 Group and to the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF The two stations Pulse 24 and ORF Sport + In the coming season, up to 47 matches will be broadcast live and exclusively on free TV and streamed on Joyn demonstrate.


Was in the past seasons Pulse 24 the exclusive partner of the ICE Hockey League, now also the ORF This is particularly pleasing for the South Tyrolean fans: ORF Sport + is – unlike Puls24 – freely available in this country. Up to 21 games, including twelve in the preliminary round, will be shown there. For the first time, the decisive games in the final will be broadcast live on both PULSE 24 as well as at ORF Sport + give.

Good negotiations with Italian television station

It is quite possible that one or two matches of HC Pustertal and HC Bozen will be shown on Austrian free TV. As Erich Falkensteiner, recently appointed Vice President of the League, in an interview with s+ explained, Negotiations with an Italian television station are also well advanced.
