In March 2024, Enrico Miglioranzi tore his cruciate ligament against Villacher SV. The defender didn't make his comeback until nine months later – on November 29, 2024. As a result, he was no longer a regular starting XI. Before his injury, he was one of the Füchse's most reliable and important defenders. In the new season, Miglioranzi now wants to return to where he was before.
"Last year, it was difficult to return in the middle of the season," explains Miglioranzi, "but now I'm ready for a fresh start. It will be nice to be part of the team again from the start, even in summer training. I've always worked hard and am ready to give 100% for this jersey. We've built a lot over the past few years, but the big goal has eluded us so far. This year, consistency and preparation will be needed, as the season will be intense. But you only come to Bolzano with one goal in mind: to win."
Successes upon successes
The left-handed shooter played in every division at his hometown club, Asiago, before moving to Bolzano for the first time in 2013. He played for two years in the then-EBEL, being part of the team that sensationally won the title in his first season. He then returned to the Alps, where he collected more trophies. Miglioranzi is a seven-time Italian champion, has won the Alps Hockey League (AlpsHL) twice, the Supercup three times, and participated in four World Championships with Italy. With Miglioranzi's confirmation, the HCB defense now has seven players, making it ready for the new season. However, there is still one vacancy in the attack, which is expected to be filled in the coming days.
