The pirates are fishing again in France

HC Eppan signed its second foreign player on Friday. Like the coach and the first legionnaire, he is moving from Nantes to Eppan.

Martin Lacroix is the new coach of HC Eppan. He was obviously heavily involved in squad planning, as both Jagger Williamson and Chrystopher Collin played under Lacroix for Nantes in the French second division last season.

Collin was one of the top performers at the club from western France, which won the title last year. The Canadian collected 39 points in 45 games, becoming the top scorer in the playoffs. The 25-year-old trained in various teams in the Quebec region before moving to Bowling Green State University in 2020. He played in the NCAA for three seasons. In 2022, he gained his first professional experience in the ECHL with the Trois-Riviers Lions before moving to Europe last year.

The new dream duo?

With Williamson, Collin will undoubtedly be one of the best foreign players in the Italian Hockey League (IHL) – making the Pirates a serious contender for the title.
