At the start of the second phase of the IHL, only Toblach and Kaltern managed to secure victories among the South Tyrolean teams. The Eisbären (Polar Bears) won their away game in the Qualification Round against Valpellice 7-2. In front of approximately 800 spectators, 20-year-old Patrick Mazzarini, who was developed at Ingolstadt and HC Pustertal, was the man of the match for Toblach, scoring three goals.
The Kaltern Pike, on the other hand, were successful at home. In their match against Pergine, Kaltern secured a 5-3 home victory, with Michael Sullmann from the Unterland region scoring for the opponent. The Überetsch team remains in contention for the top spot in the Master Round thanks to this win.
Eppan suffered a 2-6 defeat in Varese in front of around 900 spectators. This meant that the Pirates, like Brixen, earned no points. The Brixen team was beaten 2-4 by Feltre in the Qualification Round in front of their home crowd.
