Ken Eddy is the new coach of the Brixner Falcons.

Focus on youth: Brixen’s new coach

The Falcons Brixen are pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Eddy as their new head coach. Ken Eddy, a US citizen with European experience as both a hockey player and coach, brings passion and commitment to the development of young talent to the Falcons team, which is in cooperation with WSV Sterzing and HC Pustertal.

Ken Eddy was excited about his new role: "I believe in being able to develop athletes individually so they can achieve their best and make a significant contribution to the success of the entire team, which benefits the entire Falcons program. The opportunity to be part of the Falcons program was a big reason why I wanted to take on this position. It will also be a great experience to immerse myself in a new community, culture and country. I am excited about all aspects this opportunity offers and would like to thank everyone involved with the Falcons team and those who recommended me for this position. It is a great day for my personal hockey adventure and I look forward to seeing you all at the rink soon."

As mentioned, Ken Eddy is no stranger to Europe. From 1999 to 2004 he played in Sweden, Denmark and France. Most recently, he worked as an assistant coach for the Slovakian first division club HK Dukla Trencin in the 2023/24 season. This extensive international experience should help him take the Falcons Brixen to the next level.

"We are proud to welcome Ken Eddy to our team. His philosophy of developing young athletes holistically and leading them to their best performances fits perfectly into our concept. We are convinced that Ken Eddy, with his experience and passion, will make a significant contribution to the further development of our club," said Christian Sottsas, Brixner's sporting director.
