Kaltern saves the South Tyrolean balance sheet
Saturday evening in the Italian Hockey League did not go well for the local teams - with the exception of SV Kaltern, who celebrated their seventh win in a row. The Falcons Brixen, HC Eppan and HC 3 Zinnen Dolomites, on the other hand, suffered defeats.

The Fassa Falcons, who had lost five games in a row, were guests in Kaltern on Saturday. Given this, a clear victory was expected. However, the undisputed league leaders had more trouble than expected against the Trentino team and only won 2:1 in extra time. Raphael Felderer opened the scoring in the 32nd minute. Fassa responded before the end of the third period with Andrii Mikhnov. Despite the overwhelming superiority of the Hechte (42 shots to 21), the guests managed to save themselves in extra time. This lasted just 42 seconds before Oskar Siiki scored the winning goal.
The Falcons Brixen had already suffered a bitter defeat in the basement duel against Como. The bishop's city team, who have conceded 0 goals in 5 games, didn't stand a chance in the 18:100 defeat. After just 68 seconds, Philipp Oberhammer had to reach behind him for the first time. After one third, the score was 0:3. As a result, the South Tyroleans, who are now bottom of the table, failed to react.

HC Eppan lost 2:3 against Pergine, a direct competitor for entry into the Master Round. The Pirates equalized through Andreas Radin in the 32nd minute, but the reigning champions made it 3:1 in the final third thanks to Michele Covi and Denys Honcharenko. Martin Graf's goal 38 seconds before the end came too late. HC 3 Zinnen Dolomites also came away empty-handed at Fiemme. The 1:5 meant the end of the winning streak that had lasted for four games. Mykhailo Krasnozhon scored the consolation goal.
