Ken Eddy remains coach of the Brixen Falcons.

Ken Eddy stays in the cathedral city

As the Brixen Falcons (Italian Hockey League) announced on Monday, coach Ken Eddy's contract has been extended for another season. The American will thus begin his second season in the cathedral city.

Last summer, Eddy moved from Trencin (SVK) to Brixen. The Falcons were his first head coaching position in almost 10 years. Eddy still impressed, and as a reward, he'll be back on the bench in Brixen next season.

"The fantastic development of our young team and the trust of the board and the sporting directorate around Christian Sottas," the Falcons described the reasons for the contract extension in a short online post. The focus wasn't just on the results. The Falcons finished the season in seventh place, and thus last place, in the IHL Qualification Round.
