Leifers' "Bears" roar loudly: Bears start in IHL Division I

SSV Leifers has made a name for itself in the past as a breeding ground for talent and is committed to promoting young players. Starting this fall, adult ice hockey will once again be played in South Tyrol's fourth-largest city. The Leifers Hockey Bears have registered for the IHL Division I, formerly known as Serie C.

This marks the return of a top-level ice hockey team to Leifers for the first time in 15 years. For the club, it represents the provisional highlight of the "Bears Project," launched in 2014, and simultaneously the beginning of a new era for ice hockey in the city of 19.000 inhabitants.
