SSV Leifers Hockey Bears present their first player

These are important weeks for ice hockey in Leifers. Following the announcement of the return of their first team, the SSV Leifers Hockey Bears have now presented the first player of their new squad.

Nikolas Bedin is the first player signed by the Leifers Hockey Bears for the new season. Bedin was born on September 19, 2004, in Innichen and comes from the Val Badia, where he

He started playing ice hockey. He spent his final years of training in the youth program of the Academy Bozen, with whom he made his debut in the IHL Division I in the 2020/21 season at the age of only 16.

Two seasons later, he moved to HC Eppan, became captain of the U19 team, and won two Italian championships with them. He also played 39 games for the Pirates in the IHL. For the past two seasons, Bedin played for the Brixen Falcons, appearing in a total of 64 games in the Italian Hockey League.

"As the first player announced to join the Bears' defense, Nikolas Bedin has committed to the project with full conviction. He is expected to become an important pillar both on the ice and in the locker room," the Leifers Hockey Bears wrote in a press release.
