The Italian Hockey League (IHL) grew in the summer. Last winter, 11 teams fought for the championship title, but this season there are 13. With "relegated" HC Fassa and promoted HC Aosta, there are two new teams in the former Serie C, which are even two title contenders and will probably be challenged primarily by the duo from Überetsch.
