In Sterzing everything is prepared for the top game of the round. The Wipptal Broncos welcome the Zeller Eisbären. In other words: the second in the table meets the league leader. Only two points separate the two teams in the table. The wild horses have to pay particular attention, especially to Tomi Wilenius. The 30-year-old Finn leads the Alps scorers with 31 points. The best scorer in the Broncos' ranks is Adam Campanelli with 25 points.

The beneficiary of this game could be third-placed Ritten. The Buam are tied for second place with Vipiteno and could shake up the top spots with a win in Klagenfurt. The only South Tyrolean duel is on the program on Saturday. HC Meran and the Unterland Cavaliers meet in the Meranarena. Before that, the Passerstädter will be visiting Fassa and the Unterlandler will be hosting Kitzbühel. Difficult games are coming up for HC Gröden with Jesenice and Kitzbühel. The Furies are currently second to last in the table and are urgently in need of points.

Duel of “opposites” in the IHL There are two South Tyrolean derbies on the program in the IHL. Fifth-placed Eppan visits Brixen and Dobbiaco welcomes Kaltern. The Falcons have that this week Sports court cracked down harshly. The starting situation in Toblach couldn't be more different. While the Hechte from Kaltern lead the table with a three-point lead over Pergine, the Eisbären are at the bottom of the table with just three points after a disappointing season so far.
