Great Britain follows Italy into the top division

At the World Championships of Division A in Sfântu Gheorghe, Romania, Italy secured promotion to the top division on Saturday. In the evening, Great Britain followed suit.

It is now clear: Great Britain and Italy are the promoted teams in this year's World Cup in Division A. While the Azzurri had already completed their promotion in the afternoon, the team from Northern Europe was in action that evening, facing Poland. In the end, the British deservedly won 3-0, thus returning to the top division of the World Cup after being relegated last year.

The goals were scored by Joshua Waller, former Eppan player Robert Dowd, and Oliver Betteridge. The hosts, however, are facing relegation – one point from five games was not enough for the Romanians to stay in the league.
