World Cup: Italy's women continue to win

After the clear 12-0 victory against Slovenia, the Italian women's national team celebrated their second consecutive victory at the Women's World Championship Division I Group B in Dumfries.

The Azzurre defeated Kazakhstan 2-0, thanks to goals from Della Rovere and Abatangelo, while Martina Fedel recorded her second shutout. The Italians controlled the game almost throughout, but struggled to overcome the magnificent Chshkoloyova, who shone in goal for the Kazakhs.

After four minutes, Kristin Della Rovere fired home a superb shot into the top corner to make it 4-1. In the middle period, Italy increased the pressure, leaving the Kazakhs little breathing room, but they couldn't find the net. The pattern of play remained unchanged in the final third: The Azzurre easily managed the Kazakhs' attacks and finally doubled their lead with five minutes remaining when Aurora Abatangelo scored from close range.
