Auston Matthews breaks Sundin record

Although the Toronto Maple Leafs lost on Sunday night, their star player Auston Matthews wrote his personal success story.

Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews scored two goals to become the franchise's all-time leading scorer. At just 28 years old, Matthews' 421 goals surpassed Hall of Famer Mats Sundin. Despite his impressive record, the Maple Leafs lost 4-5 in overtime to the New York Islanders.

Vancouver lost to Boston 2-3 in overtime. The Canucks are second-to-last in the Western Conference and are already six points behind the last playoff spot.
