Connor Bedard: Small but mighty!

At the United Center in Chicago, 18.000 fans experienced a historic evening by Connor Bedard. The striker, number one in the NHL draft last year, contributed a goal and four assists in the clear 7-2 home win against Anaheim.

Bedard is only the fifth player in NHL history to record five points in a match as an 18-year-old. With 51 points in 52 games, Bedard also leads the rookie scorer rankings ahead of the two Minnesota youngsters Brock Faber (38 points) and Marco Rossi (33).

Nathan MacKinnon now has 113 scorer points in 66 games this season. The Avalanche star contributed a goal and an assist in the 6-2 win in Calgary. His Finnish teammate Mikko Rantanen did even better (two goals, two assists).

Shut out by Shesterkin

Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin celebrated a shutout with 28 saves in New York's 1-0 win against Carolina. Star defender Adam Fox scored the Rangers' winning goal.

Jack Eichel proved to be a trump card for master Vegas. The American scored 5-4 in extra time against the Seattle Kraken. Jordan Eberle played his 1.000th NHL match with the losers.
