The Anaheim Ducks strike back

Cutter Gauthier led the Anaheim Ducks to a 4-3 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 of the Western Conference playoff semifinals with three assists.

The best-of-seven series is now tied 2-2 ahead of Game 5 on Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena. South Tyrolean Damian Clara was not in the Ducks' lineup on Monday night, as he had been in the previous two games. In Game 2, the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Buffalo Sabres 6-2, taking a 7-1 lead in the series.

“I didn’t take enough shots in the first three games,” said Gauthier, who led the Ducks with 41 goals in the regular season. “Tonight, the focus was on getting in front of the opposing players and the goalie and causing problems.”

Beckett Sennecke and Alex Killorn each scored a goal and an assist, Mikael Granlund and Ian Moore also scored, and Lukas Dostal made 18 saves for the Ducks, the number 3 seeded club from the Pacific Division.

"That was a game for real men today," said Ducks coach Joel Quenneville. "We worked hard and did a lot of good things." Pavel Dorofeyev, Brett Howden, and Tomas Hertl scored the goals for Vegas, Mitch Marner added three assists, Jack Eichel two assists, and Carter Hart stopped 19 shots for the Golden Knights, the top-seeded team in the Pacific Division.
