Incredible comeback in the NHL outdoor game

The 64.617 spectators at the 45th outdoor game in the history of the North American ice hockey league NHL were entertained with a goal fest.

The Tampa Bay Lightning, who were trailing 1-5 against the Boston Bruins at Raymond James Stadium, rallied to win 6-5 in a shootout. The Florida team has won 17 of its last 19 games and is currently ranked second in the league behind the Colorado Avalanche.

Brandon Hagel gave Tampa Bay the lead after eleven seconds, but Boston responded with five goals by the 29th minute. The home team battled back with three power-play goals in the second period, tying the game through Nikita Kucherov (52nd minute) and ultimately winning thanks to Jake Guentzel's game-winning goal.

The best outdoor game in history?

"I don't think there could be a better outdoor game in NHL history. It had everything. The 1-5 deficit, the comeback... and what it meant for Tampa Bay to have an outdoor game. That was a game you'll remember for the rest of your life," Guentzel explained.
