Three goals and three assists: Brayden Point (Tampa) was the man of the game.

NHL madness: 6 points in one game

Tampa Bay forward Brayden Point made his big appearance in the Lightning's 6-3 win against the New York Rangers. He scored three goals and also recorded three assists.

Point had never managed six points in a game in his NHL career. It was his third hat trick of the season. “It was an evening when everything worked out, simply unbelievable,” explained the attacker.

Point's strike partner Nikita Kucherov also had a very strong game, scoring one goal and setting up four more. “We understand each other blindly. “Nikita can create a scoring opportunity out of nothing,” said Point, paying homage to the Russians.

Luukkonen, hero of Buffalo

Finnish goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen managed a shutout in the Buffalo Sabers' 4-0 win against the New York Islanders. Goalkeeper Frederik Andersen also didn't concede a goal in Carolina's 4-0 win against Florida.
