After two defeats, the Edmonton Oilers have returned to winning ways in the NHL. Leon Draisaitl's team beat the Vancouver Canucks 6-2 at home. This gave the Oilers revenge for their 2-3 away defeat against Vancouver five days earlier in the North American ice hockey league.
Draisaitl scored three points in a game for the first time since December 20th. With a total of 74 points, the 29-year-old is in second place in the league, just behind Nathan MacKinnon (75). Draisaitl scored the 2-0 goal from the power play in the middle of the first quarter, and he set up Zach Hyman's 1-0 lead after six minutes and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' 5-0 goal in the middle of the second period.

The Buffalo Sabres suffered a 2:5 away defeat against the Calgary Flames. JJ Peterka was involved in Buffalo's 2:1 lead, but the visitors conceded three goals in the final period. Tim Stützle and the Ottawa Senators lost 0:2 to the Boston Bruins. The Minnesota Wild lost 0:4 to Utah Hockey Club. Despite the return of star striker Kirill Kaprisow, who had been out for the last XNUMX games, it was Minnesota's fourth defeat in the last five games.Edit Profile
