Ottawa celebrates its historic goalkeeper

The Ottawa Senators have achieved an impressive victory against the Carolina Hurricanes – thanks in part to the historic performance of their goalkeeper Linus Ullmark.

32 shots on his goal, none of them went in - Linus Ullmark had an eventful performance. "It's always hard to play here," he explained after an intense 60 minutes against Carolina. "They come with a lot of energy in the first five to ten minutes."

Shane Pinto scored twice for the Senators in their second win in a row (4.04/19.13), while Nick Jensen (14.45) made it 2-0. However, as in previous weeks, the real hero of the game was Ullmark.

The 31-year-old has a save percentage of 97,5 percent and a goals against average of 0,75 in the last five games and was therefore primarily responsible for the last four victories.

In addition, Ullmark wrote a small chapter of history. In his last four appearances, he allowed a maximum of one goal – a rate that had only been achieved twice before in the club's history. Craig Andersen (four games, 2013) and Ron Tugnutt (seven games in January 1999 and four games in December 1999) once showed Ullmark how to do it.
