Despite Draisaitl's goal: Fourth defeat for the Oilers

Last season's Stanley Cup finalist lost 1-4 away to the Dallas Stars. Cologne's Draisaitl scored the equalizer in the closing stages to make it 1-3. The 28-year-old now has three goals and two assists in the current season.

The two German professionals John-Jason Peterka and Lukas Reichel played a decisive role in the outcome of their match between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Buffalo Sabres. For the Nuremberg native, who had not been considered for the first four games of the season, the game could have been a turning point. Head coach Luke Richardson praised Reichel for his good performance. Reichel himself emphasized: "You want to play every game, but I learned last season that you always have to stay positive."

The 20-year-old Kasper from Carinthia was able to celebrate his first point in his NHL comeback and a victory with the Detroit Red Wings against the Nashville Predators. The Vorarlberg striker scored the opening goal in his Minnesota Wild's victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
