Despite a strong Rossi: Vancouver loses

Despite scoring a goal to tie the game 1-1 and providing an assist, Marco Rossi and the Vancouver Canucks lost on Wednesday in the North American ice hockey league NHL.

The Canadians were defeated 4-6 by the Carolina Hurricanes on home ice. Marco Kasper and his Detroit Red Wings also suffered a home loss. After taking a 3-1 lead, the hosts were forced into overtime against the Vegas Golden Knights, where Tomas Hertl scored in the 3rd minute to secure a 4-3 victory for the Knights.

Rossi now has a total of six goals and eleven assists this season. The center was traded from the Minnesota Wild to the Canucks in mid-December. The 24-year-old from Vorarlberg then had to sit out for a month and a half due to injury. He has yet to score a goal and record an assist in a game with his new team. Nikolaj Ehlers was the Hurricanes' game-winner with a hat trick.
