Another playoff defeat: Edmonton under heavy pressure

The Edmonton Oilers, led by NHL top scorer Leon Draisaitl, have also lost their second playoff game against the Los Angeles Kings and are already under pressure.

After a 5:6 opening loss, the Canadian ice hockey team again conceded easy goals and lost 2:6. Draisaitl had scored his second goal in the second playoff game of the season, making it 1:3, but he watched helplessly as the Kings repeatedly created easy chances and capitalized on them. The hosts scored their sixth goal just seconds after the Oilers had replaced their goalie.

The next two games of the best-of-seven series will take place in Edmonton. A team needs four wins to advance to the next round. The Oilers have defeated the Kings in the first round each of the past three years. Edmonton reached the Stanley Cup Final last year, narrowly losing to the Florida Panthers.
