Featuring well-known winners: An overview of all recreational leagues

Hundreds of ice hockey players across South Tyrol chased the puck again this season in local recreational leagues. All five champions have been determined since last weekend.

Mostly late in the evening, they find their way to the ice rink to pursue their great passion. This refers to the countless ice hockey enthusiasts across the country who want to continue living out their passion for the fastest team sport in the world even as adults – and in a competitive setting.


Five recreational hockey titles were awarded in South Tyrol this season: in the Dolomites Hockey League (DHL), the Ritten Hockey League (RHL), the Puster Valley Hockey League (PHL), the Recreational Hockey League (FHL), and the South Tyrolean Hockey League (SFHL). HC Schworzenboch, HC Tuifl, HC Oacha, the Eppan Black Tigers, and HC Panthers emerged victorious.

The HC Schworzenboch from Auer succeeded in the DHL The successful title defense – and in dramatic fashion. In the final against ASV Prad, Hannes Walter & Co. lost the first game of the best-of-three series 1-2 in a penalty shootout, before prevailing 4-3 in Vinschgau – also in a penalty shootout. In the decisive game, HC Schworzenboch then celebrated a 4-3 victory, securing the title defense. Last year's finalist, Bulls Queens from Val Gardena, had been eliminated by Prad in the semifinals.

HC Tuifl wins in Klobenstein

CSKA Signat put on a dominant performance in the regular season of the RHL there. Nevertheless, in the end, the HC Tuifl the title.
