Rittner Buam win the Italian Supercup

Although the Rittner Buam SkyAlps were decimated – Kevin Fink, Manuel Öhler, Robert Öhler and Sebastiano Soracreppa were missing – their superiority in terms of play was evident right from the first third. The blue-reds tied up Pergine in their own third and were immediately rewarded with a 1-0 goal by Insam in the power play after a nice combination between Szypula and Cuglietta (3.45). The next power play was followed by a 2-0 goal, again after an impressive passing sequence, which Cuglietta completed (7.38). In the 9th minute, Ritten was unlucky when a shot by Simon Kostner bounced off the crossbar onto the line and out, but Cuglietta made it 3-0 a little later. This time, the new signing was set up beautifully by Szypula, dribbled an opponent dizzy and scored safely (12.57). The course for victory was finally set in the middle third. The Rittner Buam continued to deny the guests, who had no chance, and created numerous top-class chances. The goals were scored again during the power play: First, Insam hammered a direct shot into the top corner after an assist from Szypula (25.48), then it was Hjorth who, again after a pass from Szypula, pushed the puck straight into the goal (28.23). The Swedish defender was also listed as the scorer for the 6-0, but how the goal was scored was rather unclear. After a save by Pergine goalie Steiner, the puck remained in the slot, whereupon the players from both teams threw themselves over the hard rubber puck until the referees stopped the game and, after a brief discussion, decided it was a goal (32.32). A shot from Giacomuzzi (35.) that hit the crossbar concluded the one-sided middle third. Quiet final third In the final third, the Rittner Buam SkyAlps slowed down and managed goalie Furlong's shutout in a confident manner. The guests from Valsugana hardly had any good chances, and they were unable to score during one or two power plays. Quite the opposite: When the boys were outnumbered, Cuglietta stormed towards the opposing goal alone and scored his personal hat trick (52.49). Not much more happened and the Rittner Buam SkyAlps won the Italian Supercup for the sixth time. Rittner Buam win the Italian Supercup

The Rittner Buam SkyAlps won the Italian Supercup on Saturday evening. With a show of power, they beat the guests and final opponents ASD Hockey Pergine Sapiens 7-0 and were crowned Supercup winners for the sixth time in the club's history.
