Serie A2 final: Will Val Gardena achieve its first away win?

Val Gardena, on the other hand, wants to land the next surprise coup and earn its first match point in front of its home crowd.

In the two previous encounters in Milan, Ansoldi and Co. always clearly had the upper hand. Both in the 4-1 win in the first match and in the 5-0 win in the third game, the Lombards went at an extremely high pace and left Val Gardena no room for relief attacks. The situation in the most recent meeting in Wolkenstein was completely different, when coach Da Rin's discipline in particular caused worry lines to appear on his face. At least we could rely on the top performers Terrazzano, Kouda and Constant.

HC Gherdeina, on the other hand, seems to have tasted blood: After the hard-fought final against Neumarkt, the red-blues are now demanding everything from Milan. Just a few weeks ago, Val Gardena was only considered a candidate for the semi-finals, but now even the championship title in Serie A2 seems to be in Reichweich. To do this, coach Erwin Kostner's team must win at least once in the Agorà - ideally in the next game on Wednesday. The Val Gardena trainer can once again rely on a very strong power play from his players (five powerplay goals in game 4). This is primarily due to the great performances of Wallenberg and Schaafsma. Both have been hunting for pucks in Wolkenstein for three or two seasons and achieved impressive numbers in the current play-offs: Wallenberg scored 23 points (4+19), Schaafsma 27 (11+16). In addition, there are the Rittner Spinel and Rammers, which bring additional quality. Only goalie Großgasteiger has shown weaknesses recently, but he has already impressively shown his potential in this final series.

Both teams are expected to have their best line-up in the upcoming match for the third time in a row.
