HC Meran remains Milan's feared opponent. Doug McKay's team had already won the first two direct duels in the MeranArena against the Lombards and today they also prevailed with 3-2 goals after extra time. The Lombards, who arrived without the injured Caletti, took the lead after just five minutes with the 18-year-old Marcello Borghi. Goalkeeper Pasquale Terrazzano then saved the narrow lead going into the break. In the 30.09 minute he had to admit defeat to Gunnar Braito. The final third was hard to beat in terms of excitement. Bottom team EV Bozen had no chance in the home game against league leaders Neumarkt and clearly lost with 4:9 goals. League newcomer Pergine once again proved his home strength against third-placed Eppan. The Trentians made up a 1:3 deficit and finally won with 4:3 goals after extra time. Pergine coach Liberatore sent Pontus Moren to the stands as a surplus foreigner and had to make do without the ailing Fontanive and Tava, while the “Pirates” were missing Eisenstangen, Raffeiner and Spitaler. Pergine got off to a better start, but was repeatedly denied by the excellent goalkeeper Mark Demetz. Eppan, on the other hand, took advantage of the opportunities and took a 2-0 lead with Loikas and Hofer. The middle third ended goalless. In the 40.35 minute, Lino De Toni reduced the score to 1:2, then Loikas restored the two-goal lead. After Rigoni's goal to make it 2:3, the home team managed to equalize in the 59.59 minute with Per Braxenholm, which was no longer believed to be possible. De Toni then decided the match in the 42nd second of extra time with a 4-3 win for Pergine.

Fourth-placed Val Gardena had no trouble in the South Tyrolean derby against Kaltern and clearly prevailed with 7:4 goals. The Ladins had to do without Daniel Spinell and Gabriel Vinatzer, while the “Hechte” arrived without Giovannini, Hilden and Gius and only had two goalkeepers and 14 field players in their squad. Nevertheless, the Überetscher took the lead after just 213 seconds with Donald Nichols in the majority. But Val Gardena reacted immediately and then dominated the encounter. In the 11.26 minute, Derek Eastman equalized to make it 1-1, and two minutes later Patrick Wallenberg made it 2-1 for the home team. The two Val Gardena goals also came in the power play. In the middle third, Jamie Schaafsma increased the score to 12-13 with his 4th and 1th goals of the season. In the final third, both teams scored three more times: Ivan Demetz and twice Wallenberg for Val Gardena, Nichols, Benysek and Waldthaler for Kaltern. With this victory, Val Gardena consolidates fourth place in the table, while Kaltern's participation in the play-offs becomes a long way off.
