Supporters Cup in Brixen a complete success

On Saturday, the ice stadium in Brixen hosted the 10th Supporters Cup – a special ice hockey tournament in which passionate fan clubs, rather than professionals, take to the ice.

In the perfect end-of-season mood, fans from Italy, Germany, and Austria gathered to swing their hockey sticks and celebrate being a fan together. Teams from Bruneck, Milan, Ritten, Cortina, Munich, Graz, Vienna, and Villach were present—a diverse mix of ice hockey enthusiasts from all over Central Europe.

In the end, the fans from Cortina snatched the tournament victory this time. The Highlanders from Ritten climbed onto the podium in second place, ahead of the Fiakercaps from Vienna. The Bruneck fans took sixth place.

All net proceeds will go to charitable causes, namely South Tyrolean Sports Aid, Admo, and HelpInAction. The Falcons Brixen provided culinary and musical entertainment—particularly at the after-game party in the evening.
