The Stelvio Marathon is coming up

The Stelvio Marathon is an event open to all sports enthusiasts, whether professionals, amateurs or hikers. Athletes from 13 nations have already registered. From Prad (915 meters) it goes straight to Stilfs, to the Prader Alm, past the mountain station of the Trafoier chairlift, then over the high alpine Goldseeweg towards Dreilingualspitze/Garibaldi Hut at 2843 meters in the realm of the bearded vulture.

The Garibaldi Hut, just a stone's throw from the border between Sondrio, South Tyrol and the Swiss canton of Graubünden, is in the heart of the Stelvio National Park. The building resembles an old castle, from whose panoramic terrace you can see not only the Ortler (3905 m), but also the Piz Bernina (4049 m) and the distant peaks of the Weißkugel (3739 m) and the Piz Buin (3312 m). .
