Spectators get their money’s worth at the Forchwold Summer Cup.

Auer celebrates a three-day football festival

All good things come in threes. True to this motto, the Forchwold Summer Cup will be held in Auer: the third edition of the tournament will be extended to three days. It starts on Thursday.

The classic Aurer village tournament, which already caused excitement and spectacle last year, will kick things off. While young and old will be able to prove themselves on the green carpet in terms of football, there will be live music and delicious grilled food on the sidelines.

However, Friday is new to the range at the Forchwold Summer Cup. While last year the free day between the village tournament and the open tournament was used to pool forces, this time it will be made into something special. For the first time, a ladies' tournament will be organized for all football-loving women and girls. There will also be public viewing to mark the start of the European Football Championship.

On Saturday the Finale Grande follows, the cherry on the cake or whatever you want to call it: the Forchwold Summercup 2024 will reach its crowning conclusion with the big open tournament.

This year, the available places for the tournament on Saturday were snapped up faster than fresh rolls on a Sunday morning in the bakery next door, and so visitors to the Forchwold Summer Cup will be able to see the absolute greats of local amateur football, including top league goalscorer Alex Pfitscher. The program will be rounded off with culinary delicacies, the broadcast of Italy's European Championship appearance against Albania, a specially set up fun area and an after party.
