Big win in Bolzano: Partschins climbs out of the basement

The first half of the season was an ordeal for Partschins. But in the second half, the Oberliga players from the lower Vinschgau are in excellent form.

Two games, two wins: That's how to start the second half of the season – especially for a relegation candidate. Partschins, who were right in the thick of the relegation zone after the first half of the season, have pulled themselves out of their slump with a dream start to the second half. After their resounding 4-0 victory last weekend, they now secured a crucial 1-0 win against surprise package Bozner FC.

Olaf Stark scored the winning goal in the state capital in the 71st minute. For the Laas striker, it was his third goal in the second half of the season in his second match – thus symbolizing Partschins' resurgence. In the league table, Luca Lomi's team climbed out of the relegation zone and now sits comfortably in mid-table with 20 points.

Only Tramin wins

Otherwise, from a South Tyrolean perspective, there was only one victory on this Sunday: Tramin prevailed 3-1 against Lavis thanks to goals from Rafael Pomella, Philipp Rabensteiner and Armin Stuefer.

St. Georgen (0-0 against Mori) and St. Pauls (1-1 against Union Trento) both drew their matches, while Gröden (1-4 against Benacense), Brixen (1-2 against Comano), and Ahrntal (0-2 against Rovereto) suffered defeats. The same fate befell Virtus Bozen: the league leaders lost 3-4 against Levico and now share the top spot with Rovereto.
