Brixen rushes ahead – Bruneck stumbles again

Leaders Brixen did not allow themselves to be embarrassed on this state league weekend either. The same applied to his first pursuer.

There are now eleven points between the state league leaders Brixen and their pursuers Bruneck and Latsch. The cathedral townspeople achieved a confident 2-0 win against Schenna on Saturday afternoon. In addition to this victory, the Eisacktalers were also able to celebrate the defeat of their first pursuer Bruneck, who lost 1:2 to Gitschberg Jochtal (both goals for Gitschberg Jochtal were scored by Lukas Hofer). At the same time, Latsch drew level with the Bruneck team with a 3-1 win over Riffian Kuens (44 points). Next Sunday there will be a duel between the two pursuers from Brixen (15.30 p.m. in Latsch).

Meanwhile, Salurn is still on a high and celebrated its fifth win in a row on Saturday. At home, the Unterlanders gave the guests from St. Martin Moos no chance with a 4-1 win. At the same time, the club from the Passeier Valley's negative streak increased to 16 games without a win. In the table, too, the look is moving further and further towards relegation - only the Ridnauntal selection ranks behind St. Martin Moos.

The Ridnauntalers had been waiting for a point win for four games, but this afternoon they stole a point from the favorites from Terlan (0-0). Kiens also benefited from this, not only overtaking the team in the table with the 1-0 win against Val Gardena, but also sneaking up to within one point of fifth place in the rankings, which Terlan occupies.
