Bruneck is the Landesliga champion

SSV Bruneck finally did it! The Puster Valley team were crowned Landesliga champions on Saturday in Gargazon and will play in the Oberliga next season.

Great joy and jubilation in Gargazon – not among the home team, but among the visitors from Bruneck. After numerous failed attempts, coach Roberto Fuschini's team finally managed to capture the championship title in the Landesliga and will compete in the Oberliga next season.

The match didn't start well for the visitors, as Matthias Gasser put Gargazon ahead 1-0 after just three minutes with a free kick. But Bruneck then turned on the style: Felix Gräber (6th minute), Manuel Wachtler (15th minute), and Justin Pfeifer with a brace (23rd and 43rd minutes) had effectively sealed the victory before halftime. Gargazon couldn't find an equalizer, and the final stages became a victory lap for the Bruneck champions, who celebrated their triumphantly after the final whistle.

Stegen's late lucky punch

In the relegation battle, Stegen and Lana faced off in a direct clash. Following Weinstraße Süd's 1-0 victory over Terlan, the third relegated team would likely be decided between Lana and the Puster Valley side. The result: postponed!
