Many eyes were on Brixen, where SSV Brixen and Ahrntal faced off in their first match of the second half of the season. Both teams were fighting for crucial points in the relegation battle. Just like in the first leg, which ended goalless, goals were scarce. The visitors led 1-0 for much of the game, but a converted penalty by Abdou Mbengue finally secured a point for Brixen. Jonas Engl had previously put Ahrntal ahead in the 58th minute. With the draw, both teams remain in the relegation zone.
The top-of-the-table clash between third-placed Rovereto and fourth-placed Tramin was considerably more turbulent. Nicola Cescatti opened the scoring after just three minutes. David Toll equalized only five minutes later, before the home side regained the lead. Tramin, however, responded once again, turning the game around before halftime through goals from Armin Stuefer and Jan Obexer. Despite their efforts, they couldn't secure the victory: Filippo Vinciguerra first leveled the score at 3-3 from the penalty spot, before scoring the winning goal late in the game with a long-range strike to make it 4-3. Pietro Manfredi then sealed the 5-3 victory.
Virtus Bozen minimalist
In the third match involving a South Tyrolean team, Virtus Bozen secured a 1-0 victory away at Benacense. Davide Cremonini scored the winning goal in the 20th minute. Virtus Bozen now sits three points ahead of their city rivals, Bozner FC, whose match against Levico Terme on Sunday was postponed. The game between also St. Georgen and FC Gherdëina, as well as the one between St. Pauls and Morì They had to be cancelled. Already on Saturday... Partschins scored big points.
