A wild start to the Morktplotz tournament

Group A
What do Group A and a Taylor Swift concert have in common? A tough battle for the top spots. Three teams, all with nine points, that's the final score in the table. This is of course a case for the rule book on the Morktplotz, and it states that if the points are equal, the "classifica avulsa" - the direct duels between the three teams - will be used.
Real Traversa can therefore be happy about winning the group. The Eppan team undoubtedly benefited from the Morktplotz experience of the last few years. But the Mendelbuabm proved that this is not necessarily necessary. In their first appearance at the most legendary small-field tournament in the country, they did what Kylie Jenner does in her Instagram posts: they cut a really good figure.
The local heroes from the Parasol Rangers, on the other hand, got off to a flying start, but messed up their last game and had to settle for third place. They still managed to get their ticket to the finals on Saturday. The Holzfiaß from Ritten, on the other hand, stayed out of the three-way battle. A win was enough for them to qualify for the final round. Incidentally, they did not live up to their name. They are good at playing, but they had to learn the tricks of the Morktplotz first. Pablo's Friends, on the other hand, were eliminated.
Table
1. Real Travers 9
2. The Mendelbuabm 9
3. Parasol Rangers 9
4. Wooden boat 3
5. Pablo's Friends 0
Group B
What Group A can do, Group B has been able to do for a long time. That must have been the thinking of the teams in the group of four. Because there are also three teams with exactly the same number of points.Celtic Glassbeer – peppered with Latzfonser players – won Group B.
One player deserves special praise, as Morktplotz spokesman Markus "Fux" Pircher had a hard time with him at the beginning, but in the end the name rolled off his lips more easily than the yeast lemonade on Saturday morning: Rosheed Olamilekan Dauda. The Moscardelli Party Army striker scored five goals on Tuesday and is doing what a dog does when it's out for a walk: leaving a scent mark.
In the end, his team came in second. They had to give way to Celtic Glassbeer. The Flotzbisser lived up to their role as favorites, but stumbled slightly in the preliminary round. In the end, leader Simon "Tiger" Oberrauch and his friends proved that they are definitely a force to be reckoned with in the Morktplotz jungle. In third place came the Andrian team Mambo No. 5, which proved that it is much more than a one-hit wonder. They will continue on Saturday. The Tschermser Füchse, led by Morktplotz regular Manuel Plunger, were eliminated.
