In the first round of the state cup at the end of August, the Landesliga clubs and the first amateur league teams were still competing amongst themselves. Now the Oberliga clubs have joined them. And there was a sensation: Tramin, which only last Sunday became the new points record holder in the highest regional league, has been eliminated against the 1st amateur league club Ritten.

Ritten, who have been plagued by injuries this season, prevailed against Tramin, who rested numerous key players ahead of the derby against St. Pauls, in a penalty shootout. During regular time, the underdog from the high plateau led 2-1 thanks to goals from Nivoloni and Gampenrieder until just minutes before the end, when Frank rescued Tramin, forcing the match into a penalty shootout. There, after a long and hard-fought contest, Ritten emerged victorious.

Otherwise, one match in particular was the focus: the Lower Vinschgau derby between Partschins and Naturns. Partschins prevailed 3-1, with Stark, Weiss and Lanthaler scoring the goals.

A perfect hat trick in the final minutes

The match in Auer was spectacular: The Unterland team also faced Weinstraße Süd in a derby and were trailing 0-1 until the 78th minute. Then came Enrico Corradini's moment of glory, as he scored a perfect hat trick in the final minutes, sending his Auer side into the third round. This round will take place on Wednesday, October 21st.
