Semi-final pairings of the Oberliga Cup are confirmed

Starting November 5, Virtus Bozen, St. Georgen, Ahrntal, and Bozner FC will compete for the Oberliga Cup. The semifinal pairings were drawn on Thursday.

After the group stage, it was not clear for a long time which two teams between FC Gherdëina, St. Georgen and Bozner FC would qualify for the semi-finals. Ultimately, the fair play rule condemned the Ladins to sit back and watch. The other two clubs joined the already qualified teams (Ahrntal and Virtus Bozen) in the semifinals.

The pairings were drawn at the regional association's headquarters on Thursday. Virtus Bozen will face Ahrntal away, while Bozen FC can count on the support of their home fans against St. Georgen. The format works as follows: In the semifinals, only one match will be played. In the event of a tie after 90 minutes, the match proceeds immediately to a penalty shootout.
