Tscherms Marling and Terlan are among the top teams in the Landesliga this year. Accordingly, there was great interest in the clash between the two clubs, who faced each other on Saturday in the first round of the Landespokal (regional cup).

Tscherms Marling emerged victorious from this duel: In a spectacular match, in which David Mairhofer shone as a two-goal scorer, Marling won 4-2. The two winning goals (an own goal by Lukas Springeth and a goal by Niki Lochmann) came very late in the game.

Salurn in commanding fashion

In the second regional league match of the day, Salurn defeated Lana 3-1. Unsurprisingly, Salurn's prolific striker Fabio Bertoldi was the scorer. The Puster Valley 1st Amateur League derby between Stegen and St. Lorenzen was particularly exciting, with St. Lorenzen winning on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time. The remaining cup matches had already taken place on Wednesday.

The final matches of the first round of the cup competition for the 2nd and 3rd amateur leagues were also played.
