At the last second: Naturns returns to the winning track

Four matches were played in the regional league on Sunday afternoon. While Naturns secured a victory in the last minute, Olimpia Meran celebrated a comfortable away win.

The host from [location omitted] found the weather to be absolutely perfect. Naturno Naturns started the match well and took the lead in the 32nd minute thanks to Yassine Bounou. After the break, however, the visitors from Natz struck back and equalized in the 53rd minute through Leo Tauber. Just when most spectators were expecting a draw, Matthias Peer struck in the final minute, securing a home victory for Naturns. This win reduced the gap between the Lower Vinschgau team and league leaders Bruneck to seven points.

In the duel of the promoted teams Olympia Merano Meran suffered a 5-1 away defeat against Freienfeld. Saad Zine put the visitors ahead after just eight minutes. Twenty minutes later, Armando Kozi made it 2-0, and Zine's second goal in the 45th minute effectively sealed the victory. Although Moritz Sigmund pulled one back in the second half, Marco Angotti quickly restored Meran's two-goal lead. Meran remain third in the table, breathing down Naturns' neck.

Schenna rejoices

The footballers from celebrated their second victory in a row. SchennaAgainst Voran Leifers, the bottom-placed team won 4-2 away and have now drawn level with Freienfeld in the table. Both teams now have 13 points. Weinstraße Süd and Stegen drew 1-1. Stegen and Lana, who suffered a heavy defeat on Saturday, are now five points ahead of the two bottom teams.
