Sounding Ahrntal transfers and a big question mark

After seven years in the regional league, Ahrntal has completed its long-awaited return to the Oberliga this year. What will the Teldra team look like in the regional top flight?

The championship is over, the regional league title is secured – but the season isn't over for Ahrntal yet. This weekend, the team heads to Lake Wörthersee for a vacation, after which the Teldra Champions will enjoy a well-deserved summer break. A summer break in which they will plan for the Oberliga (top league) in the "Toule."

"We'll do everything we can to have a great season," says championship coach Thomas Ritsch, looking forward to the new season with great anticipation. "It certainly won't be easy, but we're approaching it with a positive attitude. And with our home strength and our fans, we can compete with anyone."

This is how Ahrntal celebrated the championship title in the regional league.

One thing is clear: The core of the Ahrntal championship squad will remain the same. However, some reinforcements have already been confirmed: Goalie Fabian Masoni (he hails from the Ahrntal Valley) will wear the Teldra colors in the future. The goalkeeper played for Stegen for years before moving to St. Lorenzen in the 1st Amateur League last summer, where he missed the second half of the season due to a cruciate ligament tear.

Farewell to goalie Patrick Psenner?

At the same time, this means that behind Ahrntal’s goalkeeper legend Patrick Psenner There's a big question mark. The goalkeeper, who has played more than 500 games for Teldra, is facing a move to a lower league, although the final word hasn't been spoken yet.

Behind the whereabouts of Dominik Kirchler and Elias Happacher There are also question marks, while the departure of Aaron Torggler (to Vahrn) is considered fixed. Ahrntal has brought in two new players: From Terenten (1st Amateur League) comes former Stegen player Florian Engl, during von Steinhaus (2nd Amateur League) Florian Gartner in the Ahrntal Valley. Curiously, coach Tom Ritsch will have two Florian Gartners on his team next season.
