The group phase at Mythos Morktplotz ended on Friday. The really hot phase in the fight for the trophy begins on Saturday at 9.45 a.m. But first a look back at yesterday's Friday games.

The Sausalitos are pyromaniacs. In their first game, they set off a real fireworks display. They scored nine goals against the Sebastian Rudy fan club. It's just a shame that the offense then behaved like the 2020 edition of Morktplotz: It didn't happen. In the remaining two games, the local heroes didn't manage to score a single goal.

The Bieraten won the group, which they owe above all to one man: Stefan Scherer. He scored five of the eight goals. The Forchwold Brazilians from Auer can also continue their magic on Saturday, while the Sebastian Rudy fan club will be remembered more for their performances after the games.

Group I

Three games, three 1-0 wins, nine points. The Bugglmahner Ulten's performance was so flawless that we would gladly entrust them with Uli Hoeneß's next questionable tax return. We are certain that they would handle this task perfectly, too, without the ex-FCB boss facing a prison sentence. First place in the group is the reward for that.

The Bugglmahner Ulten are once again among the tournament favorites this year.

Behind them are Frido's disciples, who have found a real dream duo in Dylan Brentel and Markus Lantschner (they have all scored five goals for the boys from the Schlern region).

However, we recommend that the Montiggler strategists revise their strategy for the knockout games on Saturday in order to do justice to the team name.

Group J

A dream for every Morkplotz journalist: In this round, the Ringen Teifl and the Goldwaage faced each other, among others. Which of the many puns on offer should we use to describe the duel? We'll keep it short at this point. The Ringen Teifl showed what weight they have on - or rather against the Goldwaage. They won the duel 3-0. They were also convincing in the other games and secured first place with a draw and another win.

Convinced at their debut at Morktplotz: The players of 1. FC HT.

Second place went to 1. FC HT, who, despite their debut, more than lived up to expectations and played more convincingly than the Vienna Philharmonic. Last place in this group was UC United.
