Naturns has its sights firmly set on the Oberliga (fifth tier).

SSV Naturns can continue to dream of returning to the Oberliga. The yellow-and-blue team solidified their second-place position in the table with a resounding victory on Sunday.

Of all people, arch-rival FC Obermais could Naturno Do Merano a favor this year: If they manage to stay in Serie D (they play their decisive relegation match this coming Sunday), two teams in the local Landesliga would be automatically promoted. Besides champions Bruneck, that would currently be Naturns, who celebrated a resounding 5-0 victory at home against Voran Leifers on Sunday.

In the resounding victory over the Unterland team, Thomas Mair scored a hat trick. The Schenne striker converted two of his goals from the penalty spot. However, should Obermais ultimately be relegated to the Oberliga, the runner-up in the South Tyrolean Landesliga would have to play a promotion playoff against the runner-up in the Trentino Landesliga.

With two games remaining, Naturns has a six-point lead over third place. Olympia Merano. However, the Passerstadt team kept their theoretical chances of promotion alive with a 3-2 away win in Natz.
