Partschins, playing in the Oberliga (fifth tier): Strong sign of life at the start of the season

The second half of the Oberliga season started on Saturday. While most matches will take place on Sunday, games have already been played on the artificial turf pitch in Partschins.

The first half of the season went anything but according to plan for Partschins, last year's runners-up. The team from the lower Vinschgau region was embroiled in a relegation battle from the very beginning. To the 14 points they collected in the fall, they added three more in their first match of the second half of the season against Comano. Partschins celebrated a clear 4-0 home victory in their opening game.

The man of the match was Olaf Stark. The 26-year-old midfielder from Laas, who was trained at the Bad Aibling football academy in Bavaria, shone with a brace (32nd/79th minute) and was thus the architect of Partschins' 4-0 victory. In between, Moritz Tschöll scored with a header to make it 2-0 (39th minute), before substitute Daniel Lanthaler sealed the 4-0 final score with a direct free kick (90th minute).
