The friendly match between the German regional league team Unterhaching and the South Tyrolean Europeada team in Schlanders ended in shock. The match had to be abandoned in the second half. A South Tyrolean footballer suffered a medical emergency.

A huge shock for the South Tyrolean Europeada team! A serious medical emergency occurred during the friendly match between the South Tyroleans and Unterhaching. A South Tyrolean player is in critical condition.


The Bavarian fourth-division team SpVgg Unterhaching is currently in Schlanders, where the team is holding its summer training camp. On Saturday, a friendly match against the South Tyrolean Europeada team took place. But instead of a football festival, the match had to be abandoned after approximately 55 minutes. What happened?

After the break with the score at 0-0 in the first half, the second half didn't last long when a South Tyrolean Oberliga player suddenly collapsed in the center circle. Emergency services immediately rushed to his aid, and after receiving treatment on the pitch, the player was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Bolzano in critical condition.
