St. Pauls snatches a draw from Mori

Last weekend, three Oberliga matches fell victim to the snowstorm. One of these was rescheduled for Tuesday evening. The ball finally rolled, but there was no winner.

St. Pauls and Mori Santo Stefano finished the extended winter break with a 1-1 draw. The team from Überetsch managed to overcome a deficit against the fifth-placed side, but failed to significantly distance themselves from the relegation zone.

Where just two days earlier a layer of snow several centimeters thick had prevented the start of the second half of the season, namely on the artificial turf pitch in St. Pauls, the visitors from Trentino initially dominated. Joaquin Cabrera put Mori in the lead in the 30th minute. But St. Pauls wasn't about to give up so easily. After the break, the hosts upped the tempo – with measurable success! Dennis Recla pounced on a loose ball from close range in the 63rd minute to equalize at 1-1. The score remained unchanged after that.

St. Pauls remains in tenth place in the table, while Mori sits in fifth, behind Tramin, who are now level on points. The two other postponed Oberliga matches from the weekend, St. Georgen vs. Gröden and Levico vs. Bozner FC, will be rescheduled for February 4th.
